There are some matters I need to communicate before the annual meeting

Position of Secretary

We are looking for someone to take on the role of secretary. This position involves taking the minutes of the monthly committee meeting and dealing with any correspondence, of which there is very little. It is not an onerous task so please come forward and advise myself or Mike Hogan

The Management of the Bar

Fred has done a wondeful job for over ten years and he wants to reduce his role. Fred has kindly agreed to run the back of house ( buying in supplies, managing stock , managing the cash) but we need volunteers to run the bar. This involves opening the bar, servicing members, and closing up.

Not difficult but we need bodies so we can roster the demand.  It would be great if we had more licenced managers. Talk to me about the process please

The Kitchen

Joan is our dedicated contractor to run the kitchen. She does a great job and the committee is very happy with her catering. As part of her agreement, she is solely responsible for the kitchen.  

There have been issues around the use of the kitchen by others not under Joan’s control. Effective immediately when Joan is not at the club, the kitchen will be locked. Tea and coffee facilities will be available outside the kitchen. There is an honesty facility to pay per cup. Please don’t forget. There will be a facility to leave dirty cups. I realise this decision may not please everyone but change is necessary
