Womens 9 Hole

Hi All
Phew tournament's over
It was a beautiful day. We had 45 registrations, 20 from Timaru and 25 others from Gleniti, Geraldine, lower Waitaki, Methven, Waimate, Temuka and Pleasant Point.
We would like to thank our club members for their marvellous raffle contributions and to Mitre 10, Plantorama, Robert Harris, Norm Scott Lawyers and Paul Smith Earthmoving for their sponsorship. Pens were supplied by Stafford Personnel. Thanks to our morning tea providers, to the groundsmen, to our 18 hole raffle and morning tea helpers, Jude, Kathy and Carol, to our bar manager and to Julie Brown for her flower arranging.
Cath Preen gave up her time to be our scorer. A big thank you to her. This is the official prize list, a slight variation to the original as Sue Reeves was incorrectly catetorised in Division One. Sorry to Verna who got 4th Stableford but did not receive her prize on the day.
I will be away from May 26 until June 7 so Sharon will look after you all well
See you Thursday

...and finally
|
A lot in the newsletter this week, so I will make this brief
It has been pointed out that I have not got some sort of legal(ish) disclaimer on my little missives and as such my opinions and slightly questionable view of the world, might be misconstrued as being an official position.
I can understand how this might be viewed by some given my role as Club Secretary, however, bearing in mind the usual stuff and nonsense that spouts forth, I would have rather hoped that most of you would assume that these forays have little if anything to do with the club, beyond celebrating the fact that we all toil away on the same course, pretending that we actually enjoy the most frustrating sport known to man.
To be absolutely crystal - any opinions/thoughts/musings espoused in these articles are my own, and I can assure you that it is never my intention to offend, just have a bit of a giggle. Should you find yourself in any doubt as to whether or not you should be offended, then please assume whichever option makes you happiest.
I should also point out that whenever a specific member of the club is mentioned, please note that any similarity to them, or indeed any other person, is entirely intentional.
No animals are harmed in the writing of this email, although in the spirit of full disclosure, the cat was thrown off the sodding keyboard a couple of times.
Thank you all for your attention, could you please print this off and have with you whenever you read these emails in future
Stay safe, and play well
Steve
